UP Big Boy 4014 Just returned to Cheyenne yesterday for a 3-5 year restoration process to become fully operational. Like 3985 and 844. Yes a Giant is returning to life.

Sweet. Grew up about an hour east of Cheyenne along the UP mainline so had plenty of chances to see 844 roll by on its way to some shindig.

My grandfather was a development engineer for UP and got to drive a few of them. I have a picture of him in the cab of 4002.
